Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America (AGP-North America) announced a long-term partnership with CAP Glass to expand glass recycling services across the United States.
The initiative aims to divert tens of thousands of tons of glass from landfills by collecting, sorting, and recycling used glass bottles into high-quality cullet, a key material in glass manufacturing. This recycled glass will be used in AGP-North America's production of new, infinitely recyclable containers for brands nationwide.
CAP Glass, one of the country’s largest glass recyclers, will supply the cullet using new, state-of-the-art technology. The high-grade recycled material is critical for AGP-North America's manufacturing process, helping the company maintain product quality while reducing its environmental footprint.
“Ardagh appreciates the valuable contributions from CAP Glass, as well as their forward-thinking approach,” said Derek Wall, Vice President of Procurement at AGP-North America. “Their innovative ideas and long-term vision have played a pivotal role in making this collaboration a success.”
The partnership is part of AGP-North America’s broader sustainability strategy to create a closed-loop recycling system. This model promotes the continuous reuse of glass, conserves natural resources, and supports a more circular economy.
